Dom24h – A Lifestyle for a Sustainable Future
The Marles Dom24h House is one of Marles' most technologically advanced projects, combining sustainability, energy efficiency, and modern living comfort. As one of the first of its kind in Slovenia, it sets future standards where quality of life means environmental responsibility and efficiency at every step. Let’s take a closer look at the features of this unique home.
The main purpose of the Dom24h project is the development and demonstration of a new concept of living and working at home, which is used 24 hours a day, the development and demonstration of subsystems and products for smart buildings of the future and the development of an appropriate business model for marketing this concept on the market:
Dom24h responds to the needs of its surroundings and, in addition to being a consumer, is also a producer and storage unit of electricity and heat. The Dom24h building is prefabricated, which in conjunction with modern technologies of integrated building design (BIM) and their integration into the production process ensures high reliability and technical quality.
The Dom24h project was conceived within the framework of SRIP PSiDL activities with the aim of realizing the vision of the partnership, which is based on the integration of solutions of all the focus areas of SRIP PSiDL and the development of a comprehensive offer of living solutions. As such, it is a strategically important demonstration project and is of paramount importance for the future operation of SRIP PSiDL.
The project lasted 36 months.
The total value of the project is €15,852,230.22 (€10,864,119,93 from the partners’ own funds and €4,988,110.12 from the co-financing by the MGRT and the EU ERDF).
Dom24h combines several modes under one roof: staying in a single-family house, doing work from home and actively spending free time. The residential building is fully energy and information managed and supplied, connected to the environment on several levels, represents the basic cell of electro-mobility, follows the goals of a net zero-energy building, built-in devices and appliances are connected to the cloud (Internet of Things) and digital twin. With these characteristics, the residential building is able to integrate into the energy chains as part of the wider local environment (smart energy contracting).
It represents a visionary solution for living in the future, especially in the light of climate change, digitalization trends in both business and private life and, last but not least, in the light of epidemiological experiences.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Slovenia’s independence, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia has prepared a selection of the most penetrating economic achievements. Among them was the project Dom24h – Smart Home of the Future for a Comfortable and Healthy Living Environment.
Dom24h is also synonymous with smart living. The house is equipped with an integrated smart technology system that allows control of lighting, heating, ventilation, and security systems. This advanced automation system enhances living comfort by enabling the adjustment of the living environment to suit the user’s needs. It also optimizes energy consumption, further contributing to the home’s sustainability.
Marles uses certified and environmentally friendly materials in the construction of the Dom24h house. Wood, the primary building material, comes from sustainably managed European forests, primarily Slovenian, supporting the local economy and maintaining a low carbon footprint. The wooden structure also contributes to the home’s excellent insulation properties, creating a comfortable living environment.
The construction of prefabricated houses, like Dom24h, is fast and efficient. Modern approaches allow the building to be assembled from pre-prepared modular elements, enabling quick on-site installation. Prefabricated construction ensures a high level of precision and quality, as elements are manufactured in controlled conditions where Marles can strictly adhere to standards and certifications.
Energy efficiency and sustainability are key advantages of the Dom24h house, which, with its thoughtful design and advanced technology, enables exceptionally low energy consumption:
Dom24h is not just a house, but a comprehensive approach to a sustainable way of life. With its outstanding energy efficiency, integrated smart technology and ecological focus, it is a model for the future of living that respects both the user and the environment. For all those looking for a modern, sustainable and comfortable living solution, Marles Dom24h is the perfect choice for long-term satisfaction and quality of life.
