Marles supports the commitment to climate neutrality of the Municipality of Kranj

Kranj is one of the three Slovenian cities selected for the Mission 100 Climate Neutral and Smart Cities. Mission 100 is a programme of the European Commission that encourages cities in their transition towards climate neutrality by 2030. Marles has joined the proactive participation in achieving this goal, confirming its sincere commitment to a carbon-free future and becoming an ambassador for sustainable living.

Mission 100

Mission 100 aims to accelerate the progress of Europe's most ambitious cities, inspiring all cities in Europe on their journey towards climate neutrality. The transition to a carbon-neutral city requires many adjustments that can only be achieved through joint efforts. The Municipality of Kranj has therefore invited companies and NGOs from Kranj and the surrounding area to participate in achieving its goals.

Marles has joined the group of partners as a socially and environmentally responsible company. They believe that a real difference can be made and progress for the better achieved only through united efforts and a sincere commitment to change. "Today, it is our collective responsibility to focus our energies on leaving a better environment for future generations. We know that the task will be easier if we join forces and Marles is proud to join the Mission 100 Climate Neutral and Smart Cities," noted Marles CEO Tadej Gosak.

Marles is Slovenia's largest manufacturer of green-ovative advanced wooden construction solutions and a leading provider of sustainable prefabricated wooden buildings in Europe. Its commitment to sustainability is demonstrated in the constant search for improvements and advances that lead to the development of climate-positive and energy-efficient buildings. The Marles House with a negative carbon footprint is considered to be Slovenia's most advanced and sustainable building and will shape the future of sustainable construction. "We are pleased to be able to contribute to good practices that will help other European cities to implement the European Green Deal in the future," added Mr Gosak.
